These short programs are intended for students at beginner, elementary, or intermediate levels (A0, A1, A2, or B1). They allow for rapid and effective learning of the French language at each student’s individual pace. These courses include oral expression setting alongside French language classes.
Students enrolled in these monthly courses can progress quickly in all aspects of French language mastery.
A certificate from the Cours de civilisation française de la Sorbonne is awarded upon successful completion, serving as a key asset for students’ résumés.

Course Objectives
– Acquire a solid foundation in grammar, vocabulary, and conjugation.
– Strengthen the five linguistic skills: speaking, listening, reading, writing, and interacting.
– Improve oral and written comprehension, as well as fluency in French.
Information: this program does not allow progression to a higher level of French. It is designed to help acquire, consolidate, or improve French language skills based on the student’s individual learning objectives.

Program Details
Two programs are offered depending on the desired learning outcomes (written or written + oral with phonetics in the laboratory):
• Monthly General French Course M03 (40 hours over 4 weeks, i.e. 10 hours per week)
– Monday through Friday for 4 weeks
– Course schedule: Beginners in the morning from 9:00 to 11:00, other levels in the afternoon from 2:30 to 4:30 (calendar provided at the start of the program).
– 40 hours of French classes over the month: grammar, conjugation, spelling, vocabulary.
• Monthly General French Course M05 (50 hours over 4 weeks, i.e. an average of 12.5 hours per week)
– Monday through Friday for 4 weeks
– Course schedule: Beginners in the morning from 9:00 to 12:00, other levels in the afternoon from 1:30 to 4:30 (including 1 hour of phonetics every other day; calendar provided at the start of the program).
– 40 hours of French classes over the month: grammar, conjugation, spelling, vocabulary.
– 10 hours of phonetics in the laboratory during the month to improve pronunciation and strengthen oral skills.

Certification by the Cours de civilisation française de la Sorbonne
– Evaluation at the end of the month.

Target Audience
This program is designed for adults wishing to acquire and develop their French language skills.
Students must have a beginner, elementary, or intermediate level (A0, A1, A2, or B1).

Prerequisites
Students must be at least 18 years old.

Visa
A tourist visa is required for non-European Union students.

Application requirements
– Admission to the course is only finalized once payment is complete (at least one month before the start of the course) and after validation of the registration file.
– A certificate of enrollment is issued after payment of a deposit and submission of administrative documents (copy of ID, translation of secondary school diploma, passport photo).
– An mandatory online placement test assigns students to a level before the start of the course. An additional test may be required in specific cases.
– Registration is completed online via this site.
– An annual processing fee of 75 euros applies during registration.
