People who attest to an A2 level in French are thus able to establish basic social relationships by exchanging everyday information, politeness and civilities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">A2 level in French guarantees all the basic skills that will allow you to evolve in a French-speaking environment: you will be able to take part in a conversation in a store, a bank or a post office for example. French language skills at this level give the learner a certain autonomy by allowing him to manage in public transports or taxi and to obtain daily essential informations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">In summary, A2 in French is demonstrated by a speaker&#8217;s ability to:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li>understand simple sentences and expressions encountered on a daily basis in the context of work, an exchange of personal information (identity, professions, etc.) or in public places in general<\/li>\n<li>Communicate during simple and usual tasks<\/li>\n<li>Be able to formulate immediate needs, to describe one&#8217;s environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Is A2 Level designed for studying and\/or living in France?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The A2 level in French is essential when applying for a residence card for the first time. There are two ways to justify a mastery at least equal to this level:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li>Pass a language test<\/li>\n<li>Obtain a diploma attesting to a level in French at least equivalent to A2level, or sanctioning courses followed in French<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">As previously indicated, level A2 in French is a basic level: it is therefore insufficient if your goal is to pursue higher education in France.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Register to a higher education in France or in a French-speaking university requires a <a href=\"\/?p=11766\">TCF<\/a> ( \u201cTest de connaissance du fran\u00e7ais\u201d or French knowledge test) with a score of 400 points, a <a href=\"\/?p=7806\">DELF<\/a> (\u201cDipl\u00f4me En Langue Fran\u00e7aise or Diploma in French language studies) <a href=\"\/?p=7804\">B2<\/a> or a <a href=\"\/?p=7802\">DALF<\/a> (\u201cDipl\u00f4me approfondi en langue fran\u00e7aise\u201d, Advanced diploma in French)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">As an examination center, the Cours de Civilisation Fran\u00e7aise de la Sorbonne offer learners several preparation modules for DELF B2 or DALF C1 which will help them succeed to the exam \u2013 which can of course be taken within the CCFS<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The French civilization courses at the Sorbonne also allow the passage of the TCF and the TCF on computer \u201cIRN\u201d (Integration Residence and nationality).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A basic understanding of the French language Within the framework of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (Cadre europ\u00e9en commun de reference pour les langues), the A2 level [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":4,"featured_media":89167,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[57],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-79115","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-visa-levels"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v24.8.1 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>A2 Level in French, Sesame for access to studies in France?
