{"id":572,"date":"2018-05-17T13:06:59","date_gmt":"2018-05-17T11:06:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/prep.ccfs-sorbonne.fr\/2018\/05\/17\/social-security\/"},"modified":"2023-11-07T15:02:17","modified_gmt":"2023-11-07T14:02:17","slug":"social-security","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/prep.ccfs-sorbonne.fr\/en\/social-security\/","title":{"rendered":"Social security"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>All overseas students spending more than three months in France and attending over twenty hours of lessons a week must register for student social security.<\/p>\n<p>Registration for social security (health insurance) is free and mandatory for every foreign student with student visa.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>with <u>20 hours courses per week<\/u> (full time students)<\/li>\n<li>With student visa, resident permit or valid receipt.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Registration<\/u>\u00a0online:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/etudiant-etranger.ameli.fr\">\u00a0https:\/\/<u>etudiant-etranger.ameli.fr<\/u><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The documents you will have to upload to apply for a temporary social security number<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>identity (passport)<\/li>\n<li>long stay visa<\/li>\n<li>registration certificate<\/li>\n<li>French bank information (RIB) to receive the refunds<\/li>\n<li>Birth certificate (with name of the parents)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>ARE DISPENSED OF AFFILIATION:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>European Union students, possessing their European insurance card.<\/li>\n<li>Students who have a job (at least 120 h per trimester without any interruption during the whole year) can be affiliated by their boss.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There is no condition of age anymore.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>All overseas students spending more than three months in France and attending over twenty hours of lessons a week must register for student social security.
